In 1970, the Government of the Punjab
decided to establish a new medical
college in the province, in order
to cater for the ever increasing demand
of qualified doctors and to provide
better health facilities to the people.
Initially, the successful graduates
were conferred the degree of M.B.B.S.
by the University of the Punjab till
the session 1977-78, thereafter it
has been affiliated to the Islamia
University Bahawalpur. |
